Bio: Originally from Oshawa, ON, I moved to Montreal and later London for school. London has been my home since 2015, and I have no plans to leave anytime soon! When I’m not getting LOST, my days are spent working in mental health and my evenings are spent playing board games with friends or exploring local restaurants. I love trying new food and new activities, which is what led me to my first spin class at Lost Cycle in November 2021.
Class Style: I enjoy exercise when it’s FUN—otherwise, I wouldn’t be able to make it a regular part of my own routine. Keeping that in mind, I want you to have FUN with our 50 minutes together! We’ll challenge ourselves with at least one longer sprint, one fast jog, and one heavy climb each class while keeping it dance-y with our choreography. I’ll also endeavour to learn everyone’s name to give some personalized shout-outs during class—just be patient with me while I get to know everyone! :)
Music: I love a little bit of everything: variety keeps life interesting! That being said, you can expect to hear a few throwback tracks (mostly from the 80s and early 2000s), pop remixes as sprints, a few EDM climbs to get lost in, and anything else with a strong beat and high energy. I want the music I play to move you emotionally and motivate you to challenge yourself.
Why I get LOST: Traditional gyms have never felt comfortable for me. Whenever I would visit one, I would feel so out of place: in part, I was probably my own worst enemy, fearing that more regular gym-goers were judging my lack of experience. However, when I visited Lost Cycle for the first time, I felt welcomed immediately. Despite my inexperience (having never tried rhythm riding before), the outgoing staff and riders made me feel comfortable without any sense of judgment at all. With time and practice, I became more confident in myself and eventually auditioned as an instructor. Working in mental health, I am keenly aware of the impact that physical activity has on our mental and emotional well-being, and I always come out of a spin class feeling better—in every way.
IG: I prefer to unplug; I don’t use social media, but I am excited to get to know you face-to-face!
